Spring Cleaning: 7-Day Juice Cleanse – Day 2

juice cleanseAre you still with me?

How did Day 1 treat you?

If you’re not presently standing over a plate of bacon and eggs cursing my name for costing you a day of eating that you’ll never get back… then… CONGRATS!  You made it to the second day of the juice cleanse.

I tried to be very honest in preparing you for it, but the first day is tough and, as much as I hate to bring this up right now, Day 2 can be just as bad or worse.

Your blood sugar dropped.

You may be dizzy.

You probably have a screaming headache.

It’s normal.

I know… I know… it doesn’t feel normal, but it is.

If it’s too much for you, there is no shame in throwing in the towel, but it’s important for you to know this is what the first few days feel like. You should start seeing an improvement soon.

Day 1 Recap

I kept mine pretty basic because I knew it was going to be tough.

I did do some moderate exercise, but, for the most part, I concentrated on getting my juice and water down. No need to overcomplicate the first day.

I did have a headache, some weakness and my breath is bad (another normal side-effect).

I was reminded how much food is on TV and even in the Podcasts that I listen to. Everyone talked about food yesterday! I tried not to take it personal.

Stayed up a little later than I should have, but I slept very well once I made it to bed.

What Am I Drinking Today?

More MEAN GREEN REBOOT JUICE which I shared with you yesterday.

I’m going to play with some recipes today. I bought I cantaloupe on Sunday for this juice cleanse, but I haven’t decided what I’m going to put that with. I’ll let you know tomorrow what recipe I settle on.

I’ve also added a little cucumber to my water, just to get a little extra in.

Juice Cleanse Reminders

Keep working to find recipes that work for you. If you hate the taste of the juice, it’s just going to make this harder. Mess around until you’ve dialed in something that you really like.

Be smart with exercise. You’re probably getting a little weak and creaky right now. Trust the message your body is giving you and take it easy.

Stay on that water! This is when your body is really going to start breaking those toxins free. You’ll help yourself feel better by aiding in the flush.

How was your Day 1?
